Introduction

The Post World War II society was one of infinite possibilities. The technological developments of the previous decade made impossible dreams seem close at hand. Man was now shooting for the stars, literally. Planes were flying without propellers; some were now able to hover without wings at all.
Unfortunately though, the social and political atmosphere of the time also made their nightmares equally as close to reality. They say that life imitates art while art imitates life. This photo album is a collection on movie posters from the 50’s era. The purpose is to display the social anxieties felt at the time during the 50’s as well as part of the 60’s through popular film.
